Fredo Solar, a BYU–Hawaii graduate of accounting, has started a chocolate factory in Mexico City. Solar is proud of making one of the best chocolate products in Mexico, but even more important for him is how Bucareli Chocolate helps those who can’t help themselves—something that is embodied in the company’s slogan: “changing lives has never been sweeter.”
Fredo Solar reaches out to people with physical disabilities and helps them by providing them an opportunity to work at his chocolate factory in Mexico. His kindness and love not only reach to his employees, but he is also inspiration to other entrepreneurs due to his success in his factory. Fredo and I went to BYU-Hawaii and he is really patient, hard working, very detail oriented and focuses on helping others.
In the face of difficulties and tribulation, Fredo stays consistent with his vision to grow his business and at the same time, help as many people as he can. He will go as far as carrying his employees up the stairs!
