James has spent most of his career working with early to late stage start up ventures. He is a resourceful, hard working, leader and a collaborator interested in constructing successful partnerships and win win deals regardless of business space.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">James has successfully developed products and taken them to market in multiple verticals and is co-founder and VP of Sales &amp; Marketing with Watanabe Enterprises and is responsible for developing and selling products and services into the Federal Government space.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">James became an entrepreneur himself by observing his father and following other entrepreneurs run their startup companies. \u00a0He found out it\u2019s not all roses but it\u2019s quite a ride.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What he enjoys most about what he does is having the variety of work. \u00a0He\u2019s been successful in leveraging the relationships that he already has to gain more success. \u00a0Success to James means being able to take care of his family and being able to do the things within the community. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Four words of wisdom from James:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t be afraid to make mistakes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Surround yourself with people who complement your skill set.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Find a mentor and be willing to learn from them.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When doing business with others, remember to create a <\/span><b>good contract<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> between each other. \u00a0A handshake a smile is not enough.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Find something you are passionate about and pursue it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So today\u2019s guest is James Watanabe. \u00a0An entrepreneur at heart.
